About Alison Lebovitz

Alison Lebovitz is an Emmy-nominated television host, nonprofit executive, author, podcaster, and professional speaker who is passionate about the power of story to educate, connect, and inspire change. She hosts The A List with Alison Lebovitz, an award-winning interview series on WTCI PBS, that features trailblazing thinkers, artists, leaders, and changemakers from across the country. Alison is also co-founder and president of One Clip at a Time, a nonprofit inspired by the Paper Clips Project that promotes student activism, supports service learning in classrooms across North America, and empowers young people to be engaged citizens. A proud Southern storyteller, she speaks widely on topics of leadership, faith, and the power of community, and has served as a TEDx speaker, coach, and emcee. She is the author of Am I There Yet? a collection of her candid essays and life-inspired stories, and in her spare time she hosts the weekly Sis & Tell podcast with her sister, Amanda.

She has served on dozens of local and national nonprofit boards and currently sits on the boards of the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga, JewBelong, Foundation for Jewish Camp, and the Tennessee Holocaust Commission. She is also a proud co-founder of Aleph Bet Children’s Center (the first and only Jewish preschool in Chattanooga that opened in 2002), a past Campaign Chair for United Way of Greater Chattanooga and a past Co-Chair of National Young Leadership for Jewish Federations of North America. Alison is a graduate of Brandeis University and earned her master’s degree in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern University. She and her husband, Alan, have raised three grown sons – Arthur, Abe and Levi – who continue to provide endless fodder for her speeches and signature storytelling. Whether on stage or on screen, Alison aims to bring humor, heart, and humanity to everything she does. She believes that one voice, one story, and one person can spark a movement – and that it’s never too late to make a difference.
